New Post: Researcher in ethics and community engagement

The Ethox Centre at Oxford University is seeking to appoint a Researcher in Ethics and Community Engagement to work at the Oxford University Tropical Medicine Group at the KEMRI-Wellcome Unit in Kilifi, Kenya (a minimum of 6 months pa) and a total of about 2 months at the Wellcome Trust Major Overseas Programmes (MOPs) in Malawi, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, and Vietnam and the Ethox Centre at the University of Oxford. The deadline for applications is 12 noon on the 28th November 2012.

Health Situation Analysis in the African Region, Atlas of Health Statistics, 2012

The Atlas of Health Statistics, 2012, which provides a health situation analysis of WHO’s African Region, is the most significant data output of the African Health Observatory (www.aho.afro.who.int). Now in its second edition, the Atlas is building on the ground-breaking work that was carried out in preparing the initial edition. Not only has it been updated for 2012, but its coverage has expanded and further indicators have been included.

The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign has announced the formal launch of an interactive online resource to help researchers and professionals in the sciences, engineering and mathematics incorporate ethical practices into their professional lives

Ethics CORE resources available for open use include:
• 5,400 full-text articles and reports
• 250,000 peer-reviewed journal articles
• A full-text search capability for more than 45 professional society codes of ethics
• More than 250 catalogued and indexed RCR instructional and support materials sites with drill-down limit and search capabilities
